Besonders die Fotos von möglichen Lagen der Lämmer in der Gebärmutter vermitteln eine Vorstellung davon, wohin während der Geburt fehlende oder überzählige Füße oder Köpfe gehören. In vielen "schweren" Stunden hat mich das rote Buch von Straiton in den Stall begleitet und mir das sichere Gefühl gegeben, ein guter Tierarzt steht neben mir und gibt verständliche Tips für mich, "Schafmutter" und Lamm. Bei einem Hausbrand ging auch dieses Buch verloren, aber ich habe ein neues altes Buch ergattert. Schade, daß es z. Zt. keine neue Auflage gibt.
