Doch warum wird gerade dieser Tag von Gabusi & Rocchi als Erneuerung der vaterländischen Idee, ja sogar als Auslöser der Bildung einer national-republikanischen Identität der Italiener gesehen gab es schließlich sowohl Patriotismus, Nationalismus, als auch eine Republik schon vor 1946 in Italien.
