Taschenbuch. Condición: Neu. Neuware - Spend time with me through the growing of a music teacher. See what adventures in Amateur Radio, music braille, and wilderness hiking had to do with it. Discover why learning to fly taught Richard more about teaching music and life, than all of his formal education put together.Within the isolated world of private music teaching, one may appear obsessively concerned only with the welfare of his or her students; and yet we are always willing to bathe in the joy of their success. I have written about my own three seasons thus far: winter - the beginning years at the end of World War II; spring - an awakening during and following the Cold War years; summer - overture to fall towards the September of my own years. To my readers: look closely within yourself - as my stories could be your stories - as said in the sequel, Summer's Memory: '. if Richard can leave this world one day feeling that he has done his best to contribute some things to ponder in his little stories, then maybe, just maybe there might be a glimmer of hope for others to turn the tides into a new millennium of healing and wisdom.' And as always, Richard will continue to ask: 'Why is that ''Don't listen to the person who has the answers; listen to the person who has the questions.' - Albert EinsteinWinter I am often dark and cold - I am here to remind you of your own self, but I am also here to give you the gift of spring .Spring I am peace - I am your new life - spend time with me in the green quiet places, for all too soon, I will be gone .Summer I am quiet - noisy - hot - cool - a time for different things - a time to remember the coolness of winter, and to anticipate the new beginning .Fall / Autumn I am mature, stately, and proud - my beauty can only be seen by those who walk with me in solitude - I am summer's memory . Taschenbuch. Condición: Neu. nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - So just what does the title of this little book mean Well, like Old Pops (Louis Armstrong) who was said to have responded to a king when asked what is jazz, 'If you hasta' ask, you ain't never gonna know.' But just as a hint, if you do read 'Summer's Memory,' it should become apparent that questions have been the highlights of Richard's life stories. And I continue to ask: Why is that As to where mankind is headed, when is enough - enough THE SEASONS OF A MUSIC TEACHERThese short fragments taken from my stories and little vignettes are grouped into the seasons of my life. Richard found himself inspired to share - in a single volume - reminders of the little journeys - what he's learned from them, what questions remain from them, and about how even failing at business (or anything else) might not be so bad after all. A red badge of courage, perhaps Nope! Just a little encouragement to those who might still believe that losing can be winning, and that the givers - and the butterflies - must always celebrate life no matter. And yes, the book cover main title differs slightly from that which appears within. Why is that. …

Taschenbuch. Condición: Neu. nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - NEW - SECOND - UPDATED RELEASESummer's Memory is the final season of my journey as follows my remembrance, For all too soon. Although not complete by any means, it is my story of the now in my journey as an individual, a music teacher, and that of a rather adventuresome fellow.A true story, although it bears some imagined outcomes from past seasons. This is a remembrance of winning and losing, the betrayers, the givers and the takers, as lived in the autumn of Richard's years. These are the stories that have yet to be told - those about courage and music; about ideals, adversity, and success. Were I to pick one theme to sum up my passion for advocacy on behalf of my students, it would be about a striking incident within a university music department conference while advocating for a blind student:About to submit to defeat, I sat, thought, and calmly said to myself, 'Richard, remember the many others that you had to defend their right to music literacy. Stand up to these doubting professors! Dramatize if you have to, but whatever you do remember your own words: 'Not this time you don't. This is her shining moment, and not you or anyone else is going to take that from her!'' And so, if Richard can leave this world one day feeling that he has done his best to contribute some things to ponder in his little stories, then maybe, just maybe there might be a glimmer of hope for others to turn the tides into a new millennium of healing and wisdom. Were it not for the dreamers, the practical folks of the world would have nothing to do! - R. Taesch.…
