The binding may have been re-glued at one point as there appears to be old adhesive residue along the hinge between the front end papers and pastedowns. The back cover opens stiffly, and there is a thin strip of old tape along the hinge between the rear end papers and pastedown. The frontispiece illustration is present, though the page itself has been clipped around the edges of the frontispiece. The frontispiece has 2 strips of tape along the bottom edge. The text pages are generally clean with only an occasional smudge and some light foxing here and there. Pages v, ix, and xi each have a thin strip of old tape affixed at the outer edge. Overall the book is in Fair condition.
