In parallel there has been rapid widening of the scope of ecology and environmental biology. It was felt, therefore, that there is a necessity to have a book on this kind where ecological and environment-related terms and concepts are explained in a concise manner and arranged alphabetically so that this should serve as a quick reference source.".
