Añadir al carritoPaperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book intertwines a tale of love, deceit, and financial intrigue against the backdrop of San Francisco's opulent high society in the early 1900s. The book explores the world of Prince Jean Marie de Bourbon, a charming yet penniless aristocrat who arrives in San Francisco in search of a wealthy bride. Drawn to the allure of Gwendolyn Rolfe, a beautiful heiress with a fortune of fifty million dollars, Jean Marie employs his practiced charm to win her attention. However, the author skillfully weaves a complex web of relationships around the central characters, introducing Cavarodossi, a dashing Italian with a secret past and a rival for Gwendolyn's affections, and Camille Dubray, a glamorous and enigmatic singer with ties to Jean Marie's past. As Jean Marie maneuvers through this intricate web, the author delves into themes of social class, the power of wealth, and the complexities of the human heart, revealing the hidden desires, secrets, and vulnerabilities that drive the characters' actions. Through a series of unexpected twists and betrayals, the author keeps readers on the edge of their seats, questioning the true nature of love, loyalty, and the lengths to which individuals will go to achieve their ambitions.
