Taschenbuch. Condición: Neu. Neuware - In Waitress at the Red Moon Pizzeria Eleanor Levine has crafted a collection of poetry that will challenge her readers to view their pasts through a new lens: one that is untainted by regret, shame, or fear. She invites her readers to reflect on the honesty in the desire, love, and pain that have driven their lives by following the journeys of narrators using the same lens to view their own lives. A daughter worries about her father buried deep in the ground, alone except for the cicadas that cover the ground every seventeen years. A mother attends Wagnerian acupuncture lessons and struggles to maintain the sanctity of her children's Jewish heritage even as it slips into the cracks of passing time. A sister laments the monotony of her brother's chosen lifestyle but wonders if the commotion of her own life merits any higher worth. A woman faces rejection and acceptance from the women she desires as sexual and emotional companions. The quiet moments of life are on display in this collection that refuses to accept that the past is something to be ashamed of. Deeply personal and joyfully candid, Waitress at the Red Moon Pizzeria is an invitation to look beyond the mistakes and missteps that lead us to believe our histories might be nightmares.…

Añadir al carrito[52] pp.; 53 x 28.5 cm.; loose leaves; black-and-white; edition size 2000; unsigned and unnumbered; offset-printed A tabloid style artists' project based on notions of exchange between Huebler and fifty artists. Text from cover: "50 signed original copies of this statement, (priced at $150 each), will constitute the only from of this piece for an indeterminate period of time. When the entire edition has been sold, presumably to 50 different 'owners', the net proceeds resulting from its sale will be used to structure and execute its final destiny." Text from first interior page: "After a period of months had passed no collector had purchased PART I of this work so it was re-designed in the following way: fifty people, not necessarily artists, were asked to accept the statement that constituted PART I in exchange for 'something of yours that you value as being worth $150.' As no 'net proceeds' resulted from the exchanges the 'final destiny' of the piece takes the form of the publication 'of all documents that accumulate as a result of its completion.' An edition of 2,000 newspaper type publications has been printed in order to bring the information concerning this work to a more general and larger audience at a very low cost." Añadir al carritoNew York: Anna Canepa Video Distribution, Inc. and M.L. D'Arc Gallery, [1976]. Quarto (27.8 × 20.4 cm). Original pictorial staple-stitched wrappers (Video still from Lee Levine's "Landscape II"); 23, [1] pp. Very good. Catalog of Anna Canepa's distribution company. Canepa was among the first and most influential mediators of video art. In line with this new art form and its media-specific characteristics, new pathways had to be developed between artists and audiences. On the one hand, video art still required a curatorial practice similar to that provided by traditional galleries; on the other hand, it also demanded a business model akin to film distribution in the movie industry. As the medium itself transcended the conventional materials and forms of art, it simultaneously went beyond their specific modes of distribution. (Cf. Wulf Herzogenrath, Videokunst in Deutschland 1963-1982, Stuttgart 1982, p. 16). The clearly and simply designed catalog, whose blue typewriter typography continues the color of the wrapper, lists video artworks by the following artists, plainly structured and with detailed information: Eleanor Antin, Terry Fox, Taka Iimura, Allan Kaprow, Les Levine, Dennis Oppenheim, Charlemagne Palestine, Roger Welch. As of September 2025, KVK, OCLC list four copies in North America.…
