Sin embargo, las cuestiones más generales se hallan dispersas en su obra. Este libro se propone exponer de modo ordenado, claro y ameno las ideas que ha desarrollado Gombrich sobre las cuestiones más generales de la teoría del arte y hacer con ellas una relación continua y coherente. Se advertirá inmediatamente su profundidad y validez.
