This is a biographical account of legendary American Jazz cornetist, composer and pianist, Bix Beiderbecke (1903-1931). Published by The Jazz Book Club, London, by arrangement with Sidgwick & Jackson, London, 1960. First edition thus, but originally published by Sidgwick & Jackson Ltd. A near fine blue cloth hardback with printed title design to spine. Very slight bumping to head of spine. With a very good original dustjacket, with spine just a little sunned and some edge nicks at the tail of spine. Minor wear to extremities. Dustjacket flap still has the membership slip attached, with light corner creasing to inner flap. Covered in removable protective plastic. Soundly bound. Text is bright and clean with no spotting. Paper is a little age toned. A nice example. Text in English. xii + 333pp. Weight approximately 361g (unpacked). Dimensions: approximately 190mm high x 130mm wide x 25mm deep.
