En 2020, alors qu'elle prépare son exposition à la Fondation finalement reportée en raison de la pandémie , Laura Owens s'installe à Arles et commence, avec LUMA, à inviter des artistes de la région dans la maison de la rue du Cloître. Au fil de l'été, elle y réalise céramiques, mosaïques, fresques, rideaux sérigraphiés et objets textiles, transformant progressivement le lieu en un espace à la fois domestique et artistique.
