Paperback. Condición: new. Paperback. Access to reliable groundwater resources and the sustainable development of mineral assets are critical challenges for emerging economies in West Africa. In the Agnibilekrou Department of Eastern Cote d'Ivoire, population growth, agricultural expansion, and increasing mining interest demand…a deeper understanding of subsurface structures controlling both aquifer productivity and mineralization. This book offers a high-impact, multidisciplinary assessment of the region's structural framework through the integration of aeromagnetic data, Landsat 7 ETM+ satellite imagery, electrical resistivity, and induced polarization methods. Aeromagnetism reveals deep tectonic lineaments and geomagnetic signatures that govern fracture systems and mineral emplacement. Satellite remote sensing refines surface structural mapping and highlights alteration zones linked to groundwater storage and ore deposits. Electrical investigations provide detailed characterization of weathered layers, fractured aquifers, and chargeable bodies associated with mineralized zones. Beyond technical analysis, this work demonstrates how integrated geophysical and remote sensing approaches can directly support sustainable groundwater exploitation, reduce drilling risks, optimize exploration investments, and guide territorial planning. By establishing structural controls on both water and mineral resources, the study contributes to improved decision-making for public authorities, development planners, and private sector actors. Rooted in the geological context of the West African Precambrian basement, this research provides a replicable methodological framework applicable to similar crystalline environments across tropical Africa. It bridges scientific rigor with practical utility, positioning geophysical integration as a strategic tool for sustainable resource management and regional economic development. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our Sydney, NSW warehouse or from our UK or US warehouse, depending on stock availability.
