He has also worked, as visiting scientist, at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich Switzerland, National Research Centre for Biotechnology Braunschweig Germany, and University of Melbourne Australia. He is a Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) and is currently its Vice President. He was the Founder President of Biological Engineering Society, and the Founding Editor-in-chief of INAE Letters, A Springer-Nature Engineering Publication. Professor Ghosh writes in English, Hindi, and Bengali. He has written books in different genres.
