The author has identified port as future area fo devlopement and suggested to make all round devlopement of better connectivity of port and hinterland. This can further be supplemented by solving the problem of capacity constraint in terms of running extra freight train, availablity of extra wagon,locomotives, goods sheds etc. Providing better customer satisfaction, in terms of gauranteed wagon supply, gauranteed delivery, introduction of Tatkal Scheme of wagon allotment along with partial bidding of wagon are some of the other suggestions. 220 pp. Englisch.
