From 1978 until his retirement in 2011 he was an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park, where he taught courses in thermo-sciences and numerical methods. He remains active in research in these same areas. His book, Numerical Heat Transfer, was translated into Russian and Chinese, and subsequently published by both the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has published numerous research papers, and has been invited regularly to write survey papers for Numerical Heat Transfer Journal since 1980s.…
