I…t draws on the Freudo-Lacanian psychoanalysis and the French feminist uses of it known as écriture féminine - the theories of Luce Irigaray and Hélène Cixous. It also introduces the theories of the forgotten Russian-Jewish psychoanalyst, Sabina Spielrein. The first part of the book takes account of specifics of Polish culture and history that made women writers marginalised within this context. In the second part, it closely and comparatively examines the selected British and Polish texts, while giving voice to the unknown, stereotyped, or forgotten Polish works. It analyses the linkage of poverty with the limits of production frontier efficiency of the rural households in the selected area. A field survey of the cross…-section random sample collects primary information about 297 rural households. This allows to measure rural poverty and frontier production efficiency of a sample, using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA) methods. The empirical results demonstrate statistical significance of the poverty-efficiency linkage in the case of simple and multivariate linear regression. The endogeneity problem is resolved with the proposed instrumental variables, not correlating with the wealth of the household, but affecting the technical efficiency. 248 pp. Englisch.

It dismantles how these two re-visions, through deconstructive freeplay, question and more importantly deconstruct the basic premises and principles, or the concepts that enjoy the full presence of an absolute signified in the myth of Robinson Crusoe. Thus these re-visions not only transform the logocentric repressive structure in Defoe's text into open-ended and dialogic discourses, they also partly constitute a chain of différance in signifying the myth of Robinson Crusoe.
