This work aims to investigate to what extent the use of visual aids can be a motivational tool in enhancing students¿ interest in reading literary texts in order to improve their motivation and language skills. To achieve the aim of the study, a mixed-method approach consisted of observation and questionnaire was used to collect the required data. Therefore, an experiment was carried out with a sample group of 60 Master students at Mostaganem university. The analysis of the data indicated that majority of students had positive attitudes for the use of visual aids to read literary texts. Also, observation by the researcher showed the use of visual aids during the lecture was effective. The use of the ICT tools enhanced the students¿ motivation to enjoy the lecture processes better and to achieve the lecture goals higher. The study concludes that the use of visual aids enables the students to engage closely with literary texts.…

The instruments that were used for data collection in the study are two questionnaires to 50 students and an interview with 4 teachers. This study contains four chapters. The first two chapters are mainly theoretical and the last two chapters are practical. The findings of the study revealed that most students had high level of CA with the relative contribution of two main reasons: instructional and psychological factors to the situation. The last chapter was mainly meant to present some suggestions and recommendations on to reduce communication apprehension among ESP students and improve their speaking skills.…

Además, la observación del investigador demostró que el uso de ayudas visuales durante la clase era eficaz. El uso de las herramientas TIC aumentó la motivación de los estudiantes para disfrutar mejor de los procesos de la clase y alcanzar los objetivos de la misma. Le nuove tecnologie dell'informazione e della comunicazione (TIC) hanno svolto un ruolo importante nella promozione dell'ELT. Questo lavoro si propone di indagare in che misura l'uso di supporti visivi possa essere uno strumento motivazionale per accrescere l'interesse degli studenti nella lettura di testi letterari, al fine di migliorare la loro motivazione e le loro competenze linguistiche. Per raggiungere l'obiettivo dello studio, è stato utilizzato un approccio a metodo misto composto da osservazione e questionario per raccogliere i dati richiesti. È stato quindi condotto un esperimento con un gruppo campione di 60 studenti del Master dell'Università di Mostaganem. L'analisi dei dati ha indicato che la maggior parte degli studenti aveva un atteggiamento positivo nei confronti dell'uso di ausili visivi per la lettura di testi letterari. Inoltre, l'osservazione da parte del ricercatore ha dimostrato che l'uso degli ausili visivi durante la lezione è stato efficace. L'uso degli strumenti TIC ha aumentato la motivazione degli studenti a godersi meglio i processi di lezione e a raggiungere gli obiettivi della lezione.
