Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book provides a clear and practical introduction to the fundamental principles of aeroplane design. Written in 1915 by a renowned aeronautical engineer, the book delves into various aspects that were cutting-edge at the time. The author breaks down the task of designing an aircraft into smaller, manageable components. Beginning with a discussion of the forces acting on an aircraft in flight, the book covers the individual components of an aeroplane, including the body, wings, landing gear, and tail. The author provides detailed explorations of each component's design, construction, and function. Calculations are included to provide readers with an understanding of how to determine the appropriate size and configuration of each component for a given aircraft design. The book's straightforward approach and inclusion of period-specific examples make it an accessible guide for anyone interested in the history of aeronautical engineering and the evolution of aircraft design principles. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
