Die deutsche Künstlerin Jorinde Voigt ging ein Jahr lang durch einige der größten botanischen Gärten der Welt (darunter Sydney, Köln, Mexiko-Stadt und Berlin) und fotografierte Pflanzen, die ihr gefielen. Sie ordnete jeder Pflanze Farben auf der Pantone-Skala zu und übertrug diese Farben dann mithilfe eines Computeralgorithmus proportional auf eine Reihe von 12 Fuß langen Stäben.
