A Good copy. This is the February 1849 (Vol. II, No. II) issue of the Western Journal, a monthly magazine that promoted agriculture and the mechanic arts. Front cover reads, "Agriculture and the Mechanic Arts are the basis of Civilization." As noted in the title, the magazine also featured a variety of other subjects including manufacturing, internal improvement (infrastructure projects), commerce, and general literature.
