This is one of the Webster Junior Science Series. Dr. Tannenbaum was a Professor of Science Education at the State University College of Education at New Paltz, New York. Dr. Stillman was the Director of the Child Study Center and Professor of Education at the same institution. Dr. Tannenbaum was a major figure in the mid-Twentieth Century on elementary school science education and the preparation of teachers of science. A rocket is a missile, spacecraft, aircraft or other vehicle that obtains thrust from a rocket engine. Rocket engine exhaust is formed entirely from propellant carried within the rocket before use. Rocket engines work by action and reaction and push rockets forward simply by expelling their exhaust in the opposite direction at high speed, and can therefore work in the vacuum of space.

No Jacket. 1st Edition. 12mo and 16mo, original plain or printed wrappers, various paginations, comprising thirty-five (35) items, which serve to document the on-going activities of this partnership engaged in fishing and related maritime pursuits. They were said to have owned and operated a large fleet of fishing vessels, which sailed out of the dock on the East side of Sesuet Harbor. These items chronicle crew members and wages; the merchandise on board these sloops and ships; marks accorded shipments of fish; inventory of stock in the store; bills due; occasional uncollected accounts receivable, etc. Mackerel appears to have been the favored species of fish out of the waters and is chronicled and documented as traded in several of these books.
