Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book pits four systems of land conveyancing against one another. The first part of the book explores the systems currently operational in the United Kingdom: Middlesex and Yorkshire's deed registration system without barring notice; Scotland, Ireland, parts of Canada, and the US's deed registration system barring notice; and Prussia, Bavaria, and Hamburg's land registration system. The second part of the book explores a land registration system that has operated in South Australia for 23 years and has since been adopted by other Australian colonies, New Zealand, British Columbia, and Fiji. The author, who played an instrumental role in the development of the latter system, argues for its superiority over the systems currently operational in the UK, due to its simplicity, low cost, efficiency, and fail-safe nature, which guarantees against fraud. The book concludes by advocating for the system's adoption in the UK and provides a blueprint for its implementation. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item. …
