This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -Ferroelectric polymers with polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) as a typical representative exhibit piezoelectricity and pyroelectricity combined with excellent mechanical properties. Therefore, they can be applied in various sensors and actuators instead of traditional inorganic materials such as PZT and BaTiO3. However, the magnitude and stability of the polarization still require significant improvement. Namely to these questions the book is dedicated where important characteristics of ferroelectric polymers are described such as structure, electrical and dielectric properties, poling in corona discharge and thermal stability of polarization. Spatial distribution of polarization was studied, as well as thermally stimulated depolarization processes and pyroelectric activity. Interrelation between polarization and space charge was disclosed and described. Authors themselves got all experimental data and developed phenomenological models allowing to formulate practical advices on optimal poling parameters for obtaining high and stable residual polarization. The book was written for academic and practicing scientists interested in studying and application of ferroelectric polymers. 172 pp. Englisch.
