German description: Von den funf Buchern Hegesipps, eines christlichen Schriftstellers aus dem 2. Jahrhundert, existieren nur noch wenige Fragmente, vor allem in der "Kirchengeschichte" des Euseb von Casarea. Die Bruchstucke sind besonders bedeutsam, weil Hegesipp ein ungewohnliches Interesse am Schicksal der Verwandten Jesu erkennen lasst. So erzahlt er, dass Jakobus, der Bruder Jesu, von der Spitze des Jerusalemer Tempels geworfen, danach gesteinigt und schliesslich totgeschlagen worden sei. Ausserdem weiss er zu berichten, dass Kaiser Domitian zwei Enkel des Herrenbruders Judas verhort habe. Die Zerstorung der Kircheneinheit durch die "Falschchristusse", "Falschpropheten" und "Falschapostel" seiner eigenen Zeit fuhrt Hegesipp auf einen gewissen Thebutis zuruck. Dieser habe begonnen, die jungfrauliche Kirche zu verderben, weil nicht er, sondern ein Cousin Jesu namens Symeon als Bischof eingesetzt worden sei. Neben den Fragmenten, die von den Jesusverwandten handeln, hat die Notiz Hegesipps uber seinen Besuch der romischen Gemeinde seit jeher zu Kontroversen der Ausleger gefuhrt. Das Gleiche gilt fur einen Ausspruch Hegesipps, der ein Wort des Apostels Paulus zu kritisieren scheint. Bemerkenswert ist ferner Hegesipps Hinweis auf Antinous, den Liebling des Kaisers Hadrian.
