From the preface This book titled Indigenous Knowledge and Policy Issues in Fisheries is focused on three major tribes such as Adi Galo and Nyishi of a frontier state called Arunachal Pradesh. This is a maiden attempt no only to understand the various intricate issues related to fisheries but also to document the Indigenous Knowledge System (IKS) of the three tribes of Arunachal Pradesh who are passing through the phase of transition.
