There is a note on the copyright page which says: This copy is from the first printing of Skyward and will be the only printing to contain the photogravure frontispiece portrait of the author. The book is bound in sky blue cloth covers with bold gilt titles on the cover and spine. The book is well illustrated with 48 b&w photographs, typically one to a page on glossy paper and each with its explanatory caption. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The hard covers are bright and very presentable, particularly the gilt titles but there has been some minor rubbing to the edges and light bumping to the corners and spine tips. Inside, the book is unmarked except for a neat bookplate of a former owner on the front endpaper. The interior pages and plates are clean and bright throughout, without toning and certainly no foxing. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound.
