Einband berieben, abgewetzt und an den Ecken abgestossen, innen die erste Tafel mit einem ca. 5 cm Randeinriss, eine weitere Tafel mit kleinem Riß nur im weißem Rand. Die Tafeln sind handschriftl. nummeriert, da anscheinend nicht in der richtigen Reihenfolge eingebunden. Durchgehend etwas, anfangs aber deutlich fingerfleckig bzw. abgegriffen, sonst aber nur gering gealtert - nur minimalste papierbedingte Randbräune (NICHT stockig!) - Insgesamt ein gutes Exemplar in einem zeitgenössischen Einband. - 70 Stiche auf 67 Tafeln (+ gest. Titel), davon einige in Aquatinta-Manier. Jean Baptiste Leprince (* 17. September 1734 in Metz; 30. September 1781 in St. Denise-du-Port; auch Jean-Baptiste Le Prince) war ein französischer Maler. Leprince entwickelte unter anderem zwischen 1765 und 1768 die grafische Tiefdrucktechnik des Aquatinta. Er machte ausgedehnte Reisen durch Russland (bis nach Sibirien) und wurde nach seiner Rückkehr nach Paris bekannt für seine russischen Genreszenen.
