Hardback. Condición: New. From the sixteenth through to the eighteenth century, printed disputations were the main academic output of universities. This genre is especially attractive as it deals with the most significant cultural and scientific innovations of the early modern period, such as the printing revolution and the development of new methods in philosophy, education and scholarly exchange via personal networks. Until recently, academic disputations have attracted comparatively little scholarly attention. This volume provides for the first time a comprehensive study of the early modern disputation culture, both through theoretical discussions and overviews, and numerous case studies that analyze particular features of disputations in various European regions.…

Condición: new. Pages: 392 Language: Estonian. Lendame! Let's Fly! Raamatus leiab kaasahaaravaid lugusid ulmest kuni nõukaaja olmeni. Mõnes loos tõustakse õhku, mõnes kukutakse alla. Mõnes lendab üldse õmblusmasin. Kakskeelne "Lendame" on mõnus lugemine, mida kaasa võtta reisile, kinkida välismaa sõpradele ja tuttavatele. "Lendame" tutvustab eesti parimaid novelliste, nende keelt ja stiili. Taevas pole kunagi piir, vaid kutse. Lendame! Autorid: Peeter Sauter, Paavo Matsin, Merca, Meelis Friedenthal, Mehis Heinsaar, Lilli Luuk, Margit Lõhmus, Mart Kivastik, Indrek Hargla, Katrin Ruus, Ervin Õunapuu, Toomas Raudam, Andrus Kasemaa -- Let's Fly! They say a person sometime realizes: if not now, then when? You only live once! In a sense, life is your flight and you alone are to blame if the opportunity isn't seized. The menu's your own, pick the life you please! Thirteen authors, thirteen stories about flying, both literally and figuratively. In some, people soar; in others, they plummet. In one, a sewing machine is airborne. Bilingual, "Let's Fly" is a delight to take on a trip, to give as a gift to friends. "Let's Fly" introduces the best Estonian short story writers, their language and style. The sky is never a limit, but an invitation. Let's fly! Condición: new. Pages: 312 Language: Estonian. "Punkti ümber" on Tartu Ülikooli humanitaarteadlase Meelis Friedenthali neljas romaan. 2004. aasta romaanivõistlusel auhinnatud "Kuldne aeg" rääkis inimkonna kaugest tulevikust, 2013 Euroopa kirjandusauhinna pälvinud ja paljudesse keeltesse tõlgitud "Mesilased" 17. sajandi Tartu Ülikoolist, 2017 kultuurkapitali aastaauhinnale nomineeritud "Inglite keele" tegevus käis 17. ja 20. sajandi vahet. Aastal 2000 ilmunud kogumiku "Kõik äratatakse ellu" erinevaid auhindu pälvinud juttudes väisatakse mütoloogilisi algaegu ning eri ajaperioodide alternatiivseid harusid. 9789985358986.…

9789949974146.…

To bring readers closer to the context and atmosphere in which the Estonian-language book was born, and to make the 500-year history of Estonian literature and written language easier to grasp, the organising committee of the Book Year invited the well-known Estonian writers Leelo Tungal, Urmas Vadi, Meelis Friedenthal, Indrek Hargla, and Kristiina Ehin to give the fate of our first book or the subsequent course of Estonian literary history a fictional form. The result is a multifaceted whole - Tales of the Estonian Book - made up of richly suggestive poetry, intertextual prose enriched with literary-historical touches, and narratives conveyed through the poetics and sensibility of the traditional runic song. Hopefully this book offers surprises and moments of recognition, serves as both a cultural-historical guide and a source of reading pleasure. 9789949974153.…
