"Welche…s Ansehen und welchen Wert der Atlas von Innerösterreich besaß, zeigt sich auch darin, daß Napoleon bei seinem Aufenthalt in Graz 1797 Kindermann zu sich rufen ließ, um den Autor der Karten, die ihm bei seinem Vorstoß durch Krain und Kärnten durch die Steiermark so großen Nutzen gebracht hatten, kennenzulernen. Bei dieser Unterredung soll Bonaparte sehr erstaunt gewesen sein, "daß diese Karten nur die Frucht einer Privatunternehmung sey", also ohne staatlichen Auftrag oder wenigstens Förderung zustande gekommen seien." (Dörflinger, p. 114); breitrandig, etwas fleckig, sonst von guter Erhaltung. Zerschnitten und auf Leinwand montiert, faltbar eingerichtet.
