Recently, increasing attention has been paid to task-based language teaching and its effectiveness in reading comprehension teaching and learning.The present study investigates the most effective way of teaching reading and the vocabulary included, among the three methods of Communicative Language Teaching (CLT), Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) and Grammar Translation Method (GTM). It relies on current models of reading which emphasize the interactive nature of reading and constructive nature of comprehension.
