As the population of the Rajshahi division in Bangladesh grows rapidly and its trend varies regionally, it is important for the socio-economic planning purposes for a region to follow the regional trends of the dynamics of population and food production, both in space and through time. Considering the spatio-temporal dynamics and distinctiveness, the relationship between population growth and food supply in the Rajshahi division deserves special investigation. The Rajshahi division is situated in the north western corner of the Bangladesh facing various natural calamities like drought, frequent flood, river bank erosion etc. The population of Rajshahi division was increased at high rate during 1974, 1981 and 1991 and it was decreased in 2001.
