Añadir al carritoTaschenbuch. Condición: Neu. Neuware - 'The Morals of Newspaper Making' is a compelling examination of the ethical responsibilities inherent in the field of journalism during the early twentieth century. Written by Thomas A. Lahey, this work delves into the complex relationship between the press and the public, exploring the moral obligations that guide editors, reporters, and publishers. The book addresses the critical challenges of maintaining integrity in reporting, the influence of commercial interests on news content, and the power of the printed word to shape societal values.Through a series of insightful discussions, Lahey evaluates the standards of truthfulness, fairness, and public service that should underpin every newspaper. He argues that the making of a newspaper is not merely a business enterprise but a profound social duty. This volume provides a historical perspective on the foundational principles of media ethics, offering timeless reflections on the role of journalism as a guardian of democracy and a voice for the community. Readers interested in media history, professional ethics, and the evolution of communication will find this work an essential resource for understanding the principles that continue to define the journalistic profession. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
