Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book presents a systematic review of the references to the plants featured in Rheede's Hortus Malabaricus and Rumphius's Herbarium Amboinense. The author, who was a resident in London, was able to access botanical treasures that furthered his research. Many of the citations given in the original works were incorrect and needed amending. This book aimed to verify the names of the species, establish correspondences, and offer occasional observations on the plants. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
