Bandverletzungen am Kniegelenk sind eine lUiufige, Unfallchirurgen und Orthopaden in Theorie und Praxis nachhaltig beanspruchende Verletzungsgruppe. Die Diskussion fiber das optimale operative Management ist Gegenstand zahlreicher Kongresse, ohne da6 bisher ein klares und einheitliches Behandlungskonzept herausgearbeitet werden konnte. Gleiches gilt ffir Begleit-und Nachbehandlung, deren unterschied1iche Gestaltung innerhalb der ver schiedenen Zentten auf z.T. stark differierenden Ansiehten beziiglich Einheilungsverhalten und Belastbarkeit refixierter oder plastisch ersetzter Bandstrukturen beruht Die Uneinheit lichkeit dieser Nachbehandlungsschemen hat uns dazu veranlaSt, namhafte Experten aus dem Bundesgebiet bzw. dem deutschsprachigen Ausland zu dieser Arbeitstagung einzula den, urn Informationen fiber den angeblichen Stand der Mliglichkeiten in der Wheren und spateren Rehabilitation oach Kniebandverletzungen zu erhalten. Eine weitere wichtige Aufgabe dieser Veranstaltung war es, die in der Laienpresse dargestellten und als optimal beschriebenen Rehabilitationsma6nahmen in speziell daftir eingerichteten Zentren kritisch zu beleuchten, urn einer falschen Erwartungshaltung nieht nur beim Hochleistungs-, sondem auch beim Freizeit-und Gelegenheitssportler bzw. den jeweils behandelten Anten, Krankengymnasten und Sportlehrem sowie Trainem entgegen wirken zu kannen.
