Covers show very light wear, fading to top edge and spine, upper corners are lightly bumped. Binding is solid and square, exterior shows no other blemishes, text/interior is clean and free of marking of any kind. Dust jacket is tattered, with a large open tear top spine, numerous small tears, edgewear, but still intact, now wrapped in protective clear cover. Jan Lukas Kracker (1717-1779) was a renowned Austrian-Czech painter of the late Baroque period, specializing in ceiling and wall frescoes, as well as altarpieces. His work can be found in various churches and monasteries throughout Central Europe. Text and photos, some in color, exterior view of the church, with text to page 44 thereafter 47 full page b&w plates of close-ups and larger format photos of the murals. Text is in Czech. 2.
