Light toning to edges and endpapers; toning to pages 22-23 from a now removed bookmark; small light moisture stains shallowly affecting fore-edge margins of pages 41 onward to rear free endpaper. 18 b/w plates including frontispiece all on unpaged leaves. Includes "A Brief Sketch of Gardiner's Early History" by Josiah S. Maxcy on pages 23-46. A few stress points to binding but still reasonably firm. A good copy.
