Darüber hinaus ist der beste Faktor bei der Verwendung eines Infrarot-Mediums, dass es nicht durch Wände hindurchgeht und daher gut in den Wänden des Raumes eingeschlossen werden kann, was es für die Kommunikation in Innenräumen sehr geeignet macht. Darüber hinaus bietet es auch die Möglichkeit, in verschiedenen Räumen die gleiche Wellenlänge zu haben, ohne die Kommunikation der anderen zu stören. Die Informationen werden mit Hilfe einer Sendeschaltung im richtigen Format für die Übertragung kodiert und mit Hilfe eines Infrarotsenders übertragen. Dieses Signal wird dann auf der Empfangsseite mit Hilfe einer Photodetektorschaltung detektiert und schliesslich mit Hilfe einer Integratorschaltung demoduliert und wieder in das ursprünglich gesendete Signal dekodiert. Das erzielte Ergebnis war ungefähr das gleiche wie das gesendete. Rauschen und andere das Signal unterbrechende Faktoren wurden ebenfalls berücksichtigt. 64 pp. Deutsch.
