Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book chronicles the life of Ludwig Richter, an artist whose art training in Dresden during the mid-19th century shaped his artistic style. As a student of the esteemed artist and professor of art, Adalbert Friedrich Wilhelm Hildebrandt, Richter's work and techniques developed and matured through the influence of Neoclassicism and Romanticism. His work was further enhanced by the teachings of the Nazarene movement that emphasized religious devotion and the expression of biblical narratives through art. This book reveals not only the personal and artistic struggles, such as financial hardship, that Richter faced but also the joy and contentment that came from pursuing his artistic path.
