Dabei wird sichtbar, wie allgemein das Konzept 'Modellieren mit Graphen, Manipulieren der Graphen durch Graphgrammatiken' ist. Das Werk ist das einzige auf dem Gebiet der Graphgrammatiken, das Lehrbuchcharakter hat. Es zielt ab auf Software-Ingenieure, die die Bedeutung einer guten Theorie für die praktische Arbeit erkannt haben.
