Signed by him on the front free endpapers and interleaved, with occasional additional notes by the author, the Dutch entomologist Dirk, or Dick, Hille Ris Lambers (1909-1984) in a neat handwriting. Lambers - some say that Hille Ris is part of the surname - wrote much more on aphids. The annotations suggest that he planned an expanded update of these two papers, but as far as we know this never materialized. These are offprints from Temminckia, volumes III and IV. The author's small stamp on the front wrapper of the first part. Light shelf-wear to the edges, otherwise two very good, clean copies.
