An interesting work on the ornamental details found on Italian architecture from the twelfth to fifteenth century. Written by Ludwig Gruner, a Keeper of the Royal Print Room at Dresden. He was also an engraver an art publisher, directing the production of chromolithography by Storch & Kramer. Illustrated by Emile Braun. August Emile Braun was a German archaeologist, who devoted his career to art history. In a quarter morocco binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, smart.
