In effetti se, come dicevano i Pitagorici antichi, il numero è nelle cose, e non soltanto un principio astratto, il mondo della Natura è lo specchio del numero ideale ed è da quello plasmato: ecco allora che gli esperimenti sul monocordo, l aulos o la salpinx, come Pitagora il Maestro ha mostrato, per l essere umano che aspira alla saggezza sono la prova, la conferma empirica della perfezione della Natura.
