Le but de Marinesco est de montrer les avantages que présente l'application du cinématographe à l'étude des troubles de la marche. Dans cet article, Marinesco estime que la cinématographie apporte quelque lumière à la question du mécanisme de la contracture et de ses relations avec l'exagération des réflexes. Il propose 3 classes de paraplégies : 1°). tous les muscles des membres inférieurs sont à l'état de contracture ou d'hypertonie généralisée ; l'hypertonie ne s'accompagne pas d'exagération des réflexes ; 2°). la contracture est prédominante dans une série de muscles, bien que leurs antagonistes soient également contracturés ; exagération des réflexes ; 3°).
