The book is marred only by spine lean, a slightly concave spine, a card pocket on its back endpaper, a blind stamp on its title page, "Mount Vernon Public Library" stamp in the bottom margin of a few pages, light wear on its spine ends, and some light soiling in page margins and on edges of the page block, none of which obscures any text. Its binding is sound. Pages are otherwise unmarked. Its dust jacket, now protected by a removable mylar cover, is whole, marred only by a faint "label ghost" on its spine, traces of wear on its spine ends, and some very light toning along its top edge, but otherwise bright, unmarked, and unworn.
