Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book is an extensive collection of poetry by a 19th-century Scottish farmer. It includes a wide variety of verse, from his popular humorous narrative poems with his unique viewpoint on topics of the day, to moving laments, and both deeply personal and widely accessible meditations on faith, nature, and the human condition. This book provides a glimpse into the life and reflections of a talented writer whose humble existence belied his skill in capturing the rural rhythms and social fabric of early Victorian Scotland.
