The concept of reuse and re-invention becomes the driving principle in planning, with the aim of overlapping new intentions to pre-existing systems, while maintaining the right balance between past and future; in the certainty that the well-being, dreams and expectations of contemporary society can be met through these principles. 100 colour images Lacaton & Vassal's idea of architecture is the research of a low-cost, though generous in space, form of housing. Paperback. Condición: new. Paperback. ILS-Innovative Learning Space is a Summer School organised in 2016 by the Ecourbanlab research facility, founded by Massimo Faiferri within the DADU (Department of Architecture, Design and Urbanism) at the University of Sassari. It was formed as a project activity SPIN-APP: Innovative Learning Spaces (Regional Law No. 7 Promotion of Scientific Research and Technological Innovation in Sardinia) in collaboration with the INFN (National Institute of Nuclear Physics) and with contributions from Sardegna Ricerche through the project Scienti c School 2015. The general objective of the Scienti c School is as an innovative project for learning environments which can serve as a reference and model for the new realisation or adaptation of school education. To intervene on the project of school space means to reflect responsibly on the role that space itself covers in the dynamics of learning processes as well as to think about the renewal of the didactic organisation. The prerequisite is the articulation of a modular and multi-functional space suited to the subjective needs of the individual pathways of pupil skills, and which incorporates principles and material linked to good sustainable practices as their constituent elements, which can accept new technological tools as a form of enhancement of real space. AUTHORS: Massimo Faiferri (Cagliari, 1969) graduated in Architecture from the IUAV in Venice where he obtained a PhD in Architectural Composition. As Architectural and Urban Design Professor at the Faculty of Architecture of Alghero, he lectures on design at a number of academic institutions in Italy and abroad. In recent years his research fields have focused on the relationship between residence and city, investigating through the organisation of conferences, workshops and project experiences the latent potential of new forms of residence for the construction of contemporary urban landscapes. He lives in Cagliari, where he is a partner in the firm Studio Professionisti Associati s.r.l. Samanta Bartocci (Matelica (MC) 1974) graduated in Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture of Ascoli Piceno, University of Camerino. In 2005 he obtained a PhD in Knowledge and Culture of Architectural Forms and Design from the University of Camerino, Faculty of Architecture of Ascoli Piceno with a thesis on 'Anatomy of the Bourgeois Condominium'. He is currently teaching and carrying out research in the Faculty of Architecture of Alghero at the University of Sassari. 300 colour images Charts the progress of an innovative project for learning environments, which can serve as a reference and model for the new realisation or adaptation of school education.
