Original printed drab wrappers, 8.38 x 5.25 inches, 22, [2] pages. A Confederate celebration of the late ardent anti-Federalist congressman Macon. An ex-library copy, with the embossed stamps for the Walter Hines Page Library, Randolph Macon College (two to the title page, one to the final printed leaf) and ink discarded stamps, as well as traces of a circulation slip mounted to the verso of the blank final leaf. The one welcome addition to this copy is the bookplate of the author Weldon N. Edwards mounted to the inside front wrapper, suggesting perhaps Edwards distributed copies to libraries. Some traces of adhesion along the spine and a little loss to the wrappers, as though from the neat removal of added wrappers and perhaps shelfmark label; some light foxing, and wear; a good to very good copy.
