Colophon reads: "The Genial Showman has been printed for Imprint Society in an edition of 1950 copies. Klaus Gemming of New Haven, Connecticut, designed the book, using Thorne Shaded, Thorowgood Italic and Monotype Scotch Roman types. Composition and printing from the metal were executed by The Lakeside Press, R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company, in Chicago and the work was bound by them in Crawfordsville, Indiana. The watermarked wove paper, Imprint Society Text, was specially manufactured for this book by Monadnock Paper Mills in Bennington, New Hampshire.
