Originally publsihed by the British publisher, Holder and Stoughton in 1909 edition. On copy right page - states this 1978 edition" is published by Weathervane Books, distributed by Crown Publishers, Inc." and importantly includes an "a" in the alpha line. Includes 23 full color plates by Edmund Dulac originally drawn for the 1907 edition. Each page has a beautiful and elaborate border for the text and pictures. Per write up on DJ , this volume is "faithfully rendered facsimile edition" and was originally designed to be a companion to the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyan, also illustrated Dulac. DJ in mylar jacket. This book is nearly 47+years old - rare to find a book meant for children, with a DJ in such excellent condition. See photos Note: We have a closed shop - so our books are not handled by public. We make every effort to fairly describe the condition of the book and identify any flaws (writing, tears, creases, folds), including that of the dust jacket. We use the "Fine or Near Fine" book condition judiciously when grading of the book or dust jacket. Dulac, Edmund (ilustrador).…
