OLeinen / Hardcover (cloth). 1. Aufl. Gregor Eichinger argues that since the beginning of modernity the concept of surface has been neglected by architecture. A tendency for simplification, for a reduction to the abstract space and the material are the reason that today the topic is given such short shrift. Based on his research as a professor at the ETH Zürich, Eichinger calls for a serious discussion about the architectural user interface. In an intensive conversation, he and architect Eberhard Tröger discuss what alchemy has to do with architecture, why a good bar has to be a sketch, how one reads ornament, why we no longer look up at the ceiling, why cleanliness gets in the way of everything, how architecture is created from the inside, and much, much more. The text of this conversation is interwoven with a variety of related quotations and complemented by a series of images that deal with the relationship between architectural surfaces and people. Buch. Condición: Neu. Neuware - In recent years, Baumschlager Eberle architectural practice has successfully continued its international trajectory. The book documents in chronological order in the form of an annotated and commented catalogue of works all projects, competitions, and studies of these years. Over 50 completed buildings are comprehensively presented. 14 of the most important projects have an in-depth presentation: with images, plans, and other material as well as a detailed text. Hardcover. Condición: New. Like a living skin, the architectural surface provides an impression and expression of human needs, moods and time-related commitments of our designed environment. The surface is what we perceive with all our senses at the same time as spontaneous, synaesthetic, multi-dimensional experience. Working on the basis of his work in his department at the ETH in Zurich, in this publication Gregor Eichinger therefore shifts emotional relationships between people and architecture into the centre. Touch Me's associative switches between interdisciplinary texts and pictorial sequences create a cosmos of our perceptions of the built and designed environment. …

Buch.
