It was first published in 1838 and is the story of the adventures and misadventures of a young man who stows away on a whaling ship. This copy, publi…shed by The Heritage Press and dated 1957, is a brilliant white book in a brown slipcase. It is printed on beautiful paper and features illustrations by the American artist Rene Clarke (James Alfred Clarke, 1886-1969). 7" x 10 1/2", 267 pages The slipcase has some discoloration at the top and front edges. The original owner, a Canadian diplomat, signed the front endpaper. But he apparently didn't read it--this book is in mint condition. Rene Clarke, James Alfred Clarke (ilustrador).
